Accera, Inc. announced today that company researchers have demonstrated that an extremely low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet, known as a "ketogenic diet" reduced levels of the amyloid beta peptide in a transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease (AD). 
Accera, Inc. announced today that it has received approval to provide Alzheimer's disease patients in its' ongoing Phase IIb clinical trial the opportunity to receive KetasynTM (AC-1202) treatment in a formal open label six-month extension study.
