JOB TITLE: Neuroscience Specialist
REPORTING TO: Regional Sales Director
LOCATION: Orlando, FL


Accera is a private biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of novel therapeutic products for neurodegenerative diseases.  We are developing a pipeline of preclinical and clinical drug candidates for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases. Accera’s pipeline is based on our proprietary neuronal energy metabolism platform. Our research department discovers, synthesizes and screens new chemical entities for therapeutic activity in metabolic pathways.

Position Overview:

Promote Accera’s products in the medical community for an assigned geographical area in accordance with the marketing direction. Responsible for meeting sales quota, call attainment objectives and growth goals as a member of a team while operating within assigned budgets. Level of the position will be contingent upon the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate

Position Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and accesses key customers and promotes Accera’s products to meet and/or exceed sales and profit objective
  • Develops and implements business plan to drive sales and meet the customer needs
  • Builds positive customer relationships with key institutions, organizations, physicians, pharmacies, and clinics as part of demand creation for Accera’s products
  • Maintains an open dialogue with thought leaders and influential healthcare professionals
  • Manages resources effectively and efficiently while maintaining accurate records of company related expenditures
  • Communicate and coordinate sales efforts with MSLs, National Account Managers, and other corporate support, as part of a concerted sales effort
  • Identify and communicate field issues, opportunities, and competitive activities through appropriate organizational venues
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training classes, seminars, conventions, and other business activities
  • Performs all administrative functions of the position
  • Develops and delivers educational In-Service Programs to health care professionals to enhance their ability to use Accera’s products
  • Reports adverse events to Professional Services within required guidelines
  • Reports call activity and logs customer information into the appropriate reporting system in a timely manner
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, business ethics and shared values

Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum two years pharmaceutical sales experience or business to business sales experience
  • Established record of consistent sales achievement
  • Working knowledge of targeted geographical area

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge (or ability to learn) in related disease states and the ability to serve as a technical and clinical resource to the medical community
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize extensive account knowledge to resolve issues common to various customer segments
