Out-licensing & Collaborations

Our goal is to become a leader in the discovery and development of novel therapeutic products for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and other areas of unmet medical need. The company has developed a breakthrough approach for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other memory and cognition disorders based upon its neuron energetics technology platform. This effort has led to the development of Ketasyn (AC-1202), a prescription-only product for AD, and a pipeline of small molecule drug leads in pre-clinical development. In addition, our neuron energetics technology platform offers a number of drug targets that have potential to block the progression of the disease process.

We are currently commercializing Ketasyn as a prescription-only product for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease patients in the U.S.  However, we are actively seeking commercialization partners for Ketasyn in ex-USA markets.

Our business strategy is to become a profitable specialty pharmaceutical company by generating revenue from our products in multiple markets, various distribution channels and within unmet clinical indications. Corporate partnerships are a key element of this strategy to build long-term value. We are seeking business relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to accelerate discovery, advance clinical candidates, and market our products. More specifically, we are interested in partnering opportunities that allow us to:

• complete clinical development and commercialization of our lead product candidates;
• broaden the application of our drug candidates to all possible neurodegenerative conditions where there is an unmet medical need;
• expand our drug pipeline;
• leverage our neuron energetics discovery platform to identify novel drug candidates outside of our core focus;
• maintain and enhance our position as the technology leader in the use of neuron energetics for diseases of the central nervous system.

We seek business relationships that are collaborative and allow Accera to participate in the downstream clinical development and future commercialization of partnered product candidates.
