Accera is a private biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of innovative therapeutic treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.   We have developed a proprietary scientific approach to product development based upon principles of cellular neuroprotection and neuron metabolism in the brain.  Our product candidates address the high unmet medical need associated with most neurodegenerative diseases where few, if any, effective therapies exist today. 

Currently our product pipeline includes therapeutic treatments for Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and other age-related memory loss disorders.  These products are in advanced clinical development where they have demonstrated significant efficacy and outstanding safety compared to approved drugs in the marketplace.  Our strategy is to advance these products through Phase II testing and, at the appropriate point of high added-value, establish strategic alliances and partnerships to support commercialization.  We intend to expand our pipeline through internal discovery efforts and in-licensing of clinical compounds with novel mechanisms-of-action.
