Partnering Opportunities: Our goal is to become a leader in the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel therapeutic products for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and other areas of unmet medical need. Accera utilizes its breakthrough neuron energetics technology platform to identify and develop novel treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and other memory and cognition disorders. This effort has led to the development of Axona® (AC-1202), a prescription Medical Food* product for Alzheimer’s disease, and a pipeline of small molecule drug leads in pre-clinical development. In addition, our neuron energetics technology platform has identified a number of drug targets that have potential to block the progression of the neurodegenerative disease process.
We are currently commercializing Axona® as a prescription Medical Food* product for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease patients in the U.S. and are currently seeking an ex-U.S. commercialization partner for Axona™.
Corporate partnerships are an essential element to our long-term business strategy of becoming a profitable specialty pharmaceutical company by generating revenue from our products in multiple markets and within clinical indications with a high level of unmet medical need. We are seeking business relationships with pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies and universities, to accelerate the drug discovery, development, and commercialization process. We are currently seeking partnering opportunities that allow us to:
- leverage and compliment our U.S. commercial presence;
- complete clinical development and commercialization of our lead product candidates;
- expand our drug pipeline;
- broaden the application of our drug candidates to additional neurodegenerative conditions where there is high
- unmet medical need;
- leverage our neuron energetics discovery platform to identify novel drug candidates to compliment our core
- focus; and
- maintain and enhance our position as the technology leader in the use of neuron energetics for diseases of the central nervous system.
We seek business relationships that are collaborative and allow Accera to participate in both clinical development and commercialization of partnered product candidates.
